Seamless steel tubes to pressure applications

High-quality internal operation is the foundation of any company's production and technological base. However, when expanding the business or its activities, it is important that you understand that external regulation is equally important. This is why EN 10216-5: 2021 is an international standard.

This document outlines the technical conditions for seamless tubes with a circular cross section made from austenitic (including creep resistant steel) or austenitic–ferritic stainless steel. These tubes are designed for pressure and corrosion resistance purposes at room temperatures, at low temperatures, and at elevated temperatures.

Pressure-use steel tubes - Technical delivery conditions

One industry may have many standards. This can lead to confusion. Two documents can have nearly 90% of the same characteristics but differ only in technical parameters. EN 10217-7 : 2021 is one of many documents that are similar to the preceding but have specific technological parameters. This document describes the technical conditions for welded tubes with circular cross-section made from austenitic or austenitic-ferritic stainless Steel. They are designed for corrosion resistance and pressure at room temperature, low temperatures, and high temperatures.

Although most international standards are associated with larger corporations, multinational companies and international activities, many are also designed for smaller and medium-sized businesses. They describe each type of equipment and each category. EN ISO 8099-2 is 2021. This document outlines the requirements for small-craft sewage treatment systems. This document does not address waste retention systems or accidental discharge prevention of pollutant (e.g. oil, fuel) overboard. First, the international standard can be interpreted as being global for a particular type of activity. It should be noted, however, that the standard is tailored to the European Union market. Some points are not required for a greater global scale.
