Meet My Family Members

2nd e portfolio.JPG

Me and my husband have three lovely children. We are Disney Land lovers. We go there often to spend some quality time together.

I moved here five years ago. I have neither family nor friends here; therefore, my three children and my husband became my entire world.

I like to make friends and to have a rich social life. My preferable way of socializing is a face to face one. I am poorly active on social media. I spend most of my time at Irvine Valley College even when not at work. I like meeting students, co-workers, and preparing for my classes there.

I have lived in many different countries throughout my life. Besides Syria, I have lived 5 years in Argentina, 5 in Romania, 3 in Africa, 1 in India, 6 months in Turkey, and 5 years in the United States. Besides Arabic, I speak English and Romanian fluently.

Helping others is very rewarding to me, and the people who helped me throughout my life left a great impact on me.

My mother who was the greatest source of support to me, past away 6 months ago. My children and students helped me out through these critical moments.

I believe in learning until the last minutes of my life, and my philosophy is never to underestimate any source of help when it comes to education.

I get a lot of help from my children and I use them a lot for examples when I teach.I enjoy learning new things from my students as well. I believe that teaching is the best way of learning. Therefore, I think of every new class that I teach as a new learning experience.

I am looking forward to spending a wonderful and useful time with all of you!
